Guest speaker Tabatha Coffey
On Oct. 25 at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville, the International Institute of Cosmetology will be hosting its 12th graduation ceremony.

Television personality, stylist, entrepreneur and author, Tabatha Coffey will be delivering the commencement speech for graduates and guests.
Best known for Bravo’s hit television shows “Shear Genius,” “Tabatha’s Salon Take Over,’ and Tabatha Takes Over, Australian born hair stylist Tabatha Coffey rose to fame by helping turn around failing hair salons into successful business powerhouses.
Tabatha shares her blunt but rock solid wisdom, and provides tips for every aspect of business- from entrepreneurship, to customer service, to management. She also gives advice on the home front, to help women seeking to balance their family lives with their careers.
Tabatha is regularly featured as an editorial stylist and contributing writer for People’s Style Watch, Elle.com and Pop Sugar. She is also a red carpet correspondent at the Oscars and Grammy Awards. As well as, making special guest appearances on ABC’s Good Morning America and CBS’s The Talk.
Tabatha is the author of two books: “It’s Not Really About the Hair: The Honest Truth about Life, Love, and the Business of Beauty.” And most recently, she released “Own It!: Be the Boss of Your Life–at Home and in the Workplace.”
The Australian native has brought to each of these roles more than 30 years of experience as a stylist and salon owner.
While she made her mark on reality and daytime television, the red carpet and best-seller lists, coffey’s “roots” began in the hair industry.
The International Institute of Cosmetology is an accredited, family owned cosmetology school with campuses in Wethersfield and Plainville.
